Arabs should learn that our history with Korea hasn't started in the late century.

You are fan of kpop and k-drama and believe that the hallyu wave is the land mark which brought foreigner and here arabs to learn about the existence of Korea?? 

This may be wrong.

 I just found an article that speaks about a long history between the two nations. Tunisians and yet Arabs should read this article. You would maybe curious about how far this may have gone into history. (Just like me and I will share what I've found with you)

The Day we said Good Bye to 남 선생님

I am not the only one who is bad  at saying good bye. It is always hard to say good bye to good people: Those who some way positively affected our life. 남 선생님 was one of them. She has left a good impression on me. I like her and enjoyed her class for this last one year and half. She was a great teacher. Of the very few teachers who was more than just a teacher. People I lived through and learned from more than just lessons or courses. Any way I have said more about her in my “Journal” and since a blog is not a “journal” I’ll stop here.

Anyway let’s return to the purpose of this post. We had had to say good bye to 남 선생님 this 수요일 2012년 12월 12일. As her two years contract came to an end she left us back to her home land Korea. For this reason and at her initiative and us we held a good bye party in our Center: A Tuesday evening where all the three Korean classes’ levels attended. Presents, cake, handbook and sweets from Tunisia and Korea were the main casts of this party. I took some photos to share with some of you.

Of course I prepared 선물 for my beloved teacher. Some thing I wish she can remember me with.

Me and My classmates and a Korean friend 내마아 (نعمة) who is Korean student in Tunisia to study Tunisian (not arabic but Tunisian) in which she made my proud as she was fluent in speaking Tunisian. She only have been here for 4 months. (Y) Of course I made sure to teach her some Tunisian word she won't learn in class. :p

This is 베스마 (بسمة) The friend of 내마아. Those two girls were unusually just cute and kind. 

PS: They have "arabic" names. Some thing they like. Just as some of us enjoy having Korean names. (Mine is 유라)

and this was one of my memorable days with my Korean Teachers and friends. Just not able to think we said good bye. 

Any way I'll keep positive and believe in more enjoyable Korean future with more enjoyable days. ^_^

An exhibition of Photography about the Korean Culture [한국문화사진전]

From the 23rd to the 30th of November , was held an exhibition of Photography about the Korean Culture in The Cultural Center in Sousse, Tunisia.

This took place at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tunisia in partnership with the University of Sousse, The Association of Korean Culture in Sousse (ACC) and the International Association of Korean Students (AEEC).

His Excellency, Mr Joo Bok Ryoung, the Korean Ambassador in Tunisia has pronounced a speech before the students and staff of the Faculty of Art and Human Sciences in Sousse. 

He then visited the Korean Culture Center for the opening of the Photographic exhibition.

In fact, as I was following Incheon Chung  선생님, the latter has made almost all the job to bring this to Tunisia.

 He is such a workaholic person and I believe he is going to do more in the few upcoming days.

The 1st Korean culture Conference in Tunis 한국 문화 발표회 2012년 11월 10일

The 10^th of the last November was held the first conference about Korean Culture in Tunisia (Tunis, Sheraton Hotel). This was organized by the Korean-Tunisian friendship Association in partnership with the Academy of Korean Studies. The public (almost 200 invited persons) from the Korean but especially the Tunisian side had have the chance to experience some (if not very little) sides from the Korean Culture. This was attended also by the Korean ambassador in Tunis who is by the way a friendly person.

This last a little bit more than 2 hours:

v During the first hour, there have been “a speaking session”. 7 topics were spoken about (Dokdo, Karate, Hangeul…). 7 students of Korean language from the University of Manouba were selected as the main speakers during this session. I was chosen to make a presentation about Dokdo.

Then a ceremony was held to prize the speakers.

v During the second hour, Participants had have the chance to play games:

제기차기는

한글은: where we learned about Korean alphabet and wrote our names in Korean. (easy task ;-)

한복은: where we "made" the Korean traditional wearing in papers.

태극니는: where we learned about the Korean flag 

and finaly, 독도는: where we learned about the Korean island Dokdo by composing the name.

A sticker was given to everyone who finished his given task. The collected stickers  (5 in total) were exchanged with Korean souvenirs. (Now I have a korean flag)

I had also the chance to try on the 한복. 

Don’t I look pretty? :p

Anyway, this was an unforgettable day that I enjoyed a lot.
